In six adventurous days we visit a great variety of Tasmania’s wild and remote west. We aim to stay away from the crowds.
Our first day will see us exploring the semi-alpine landforms of Mt Field and Lake St Clair and camping in exclusive bush camp site.
The next day we enjoy the early morning scenic drive through Franklin-Gordon wild rivers
wilderness as we make our way to Queenstown for adrenaline packed white water rafting
experience on the King River. Enjoy local pub / cabin accommodation for the night.
The third day finds us exploring rugged west coast and part of the longest beach in the Tasmania, we make our way to our private taking camp site for the next two nights.
Waking up for a morning paddle the serene Pieman river is a highlight as you make your way over glass like reflections of the rainforest that cloaks its banks. The afternoon is a chance to experience more of the Tarkine, featuring the largest cool temperate rainforests in the southern hemisphere.
The fifth day will see us journeying towards Cradle Mountain via some stunning walking trails on the West Coast Range that offer a snap shot into this rugged and remote part of the State. Camped close to Cradle Valley our final day sees us well placed to choose from many of the fine activities on offer. Canyoning is a unforgettable experience but with canoeing on Dove Lake or a Fly Fishing lesson you may find it hard to choose.
